Started From The...Now I'm Here

We all start new adventures from a certain place. These new adventures can be literally anything you are embarking on that is NEW for you. This includes a new career, new friends, new school, new city to live in, new workout, or even a new diet. I mean anything that is new and makes you anxious through excitement or even doubts and fears. If you haven't guessed already, the title of this blog is from the catchy song, "Started From the Bottom" by the ever so popular artist, Drake. Your new adventure doesn't always have to start from the bottom, it can most certainly start "again" from the middle too. This means that you were already halfway there but somehow got sidetracked. Or maybe you got your degree and you're almost getting to where you want to be. Wherever that may be or how ever many times you redirect yourself. The key is that it doesn't matter where you started, as long as you continue on your path to victory. This new adventure is definitely going to take you on a ride. Whether or not you think you are ready. Guess who knows you are? Your guidance team: God, The Universe, Spirit and/or your Angels. I hope you believe in one, any, or of them. They know exactly what you're ready for and when to lighten your path. Many will say they "randomly" felt like they needed to go to a certain place. That's your intuition and your guidance. Many will say they keep seeing a certain city come up, that's again your intuition and guidance. The key is will you follow the nudges and guidance even when the thought of this change brings fear, doubt and anxiety. If you are afraid of change, your guidance team knows and will be working to set you on the right path. A path that you may not be "ready" for. If you choose to accept that new adventure, you are doing yourself and the world a favor. You are choosing to grow and expand consciousness. This expansion will come with shedding older versions of you and that will always come with some uncomfortable emotions. Let your emotions reveal themselves. If you get angry, write a rage letter, go boxing, workout, or scream as loud as you can. If you feel like crying a river, CRY! Whatever comes up, you need to release it. When you acknowledge and accept your emotions, you are one step closer to coming through your transformation. I was at one of the most beautiful botanical gardens today here in West Palm Beach and happened to be guided to the Butterfly Garden. There were at least 5 different butterflies flying around to remind me of the current transformation I am going through as well as many others collectively. Those that are listening to their guidance and intuition. In this garden, they also posted a display that read "The Life Cycle of a Butterfly." The process seems simple, yet takes time and produces the most beautiful species of life. When the eggs are hatched and the larva or caterpillar is making moves, it probably has no idea about what's to come but it has faith. Also, when the caterpillar is in its chrysalis that can last weeks, a month, or longer, it still probably doesn't realize what it's growing into. When you have started your new adventure, you are in the chrysalis phase. You aren't exactly sure what, who, where and why, but something beautiful is about to happen. Let the butterfly story guide you every time you know a change is coming. This change may come about 1, 5, 10 or 50 times. It doesn't matter. Accept it and go through your metamorphosis.

I recently wrote a blog about what's the best that can happen and I mentioned following my guidance to move to a brand new city thousands of miles away. Was I scared? Heck ya. Was I nervous? Of course I was! Was I confident about it? Sort of, but I was more confident in my guidance team. So did I do it? Yes! I also had to deal with many emotions. I was in a new city, new people, and new climate. Here's what I will say. When you are guided and follow it, everything is already waiting for you. Did I find my apartment the first day of looking? Yes I did. I had no idea where I was going and what areas to look at. I chose a few spots, read some reviews and prayed. My main guide on this move was and is Buddha. Always pay attention to your signs. When I say YOUR signs, I mean the ones that make sense to you. A month before my move in March, it was my sister's wedding in Montecito, California. She happened to get a room in front of the Buddha garden. I then went to pray to the most beautiful marble Buddha about a few things and placed my offering in the cup. When I arrived in West Palm Beach, I was up late one night in my hotel room and saw a place that came up called Gables MONTECITO. Could this be? Yes, it most certainly could. As soon as I drove into the complex, I was greeted by a gate and the most beautiful half a mile man made lake. I knew this was it mentally, emotionally and energetically. I was still dealing with releasing many emotions, so when I applied and saw the rent prices and non-refundable application fee of $500, I still cried. I did however, go for a walk around the lake. When I approached the final building, completing my walk, I was greeted by the only Buddha statue sitting in front of someone's apartment. My application was approved without even having a job or them asking for proof of income, and I was moved in within 5 days with financial help from my mother (yes, it's ok to ask and accept help). This is how it works. I also was reminded that when I was back in San Francisco in March, I drove down a street near my aunt's house named Montecito! When I prayed to Buddha back in Montecito, I asked for 7 phases to be completed that started with my sister's wedding. When the apartment was secured, I was down 4 phases with 3 more to go. The next was securing a part-time job to release part of my financial fears. When I was in my apartment and searching my google maps, as I always do for guidance, I came to a place that was 1111 Love Street. I went immediately and saw a restaurant titled "Lucky Shuck" with a huge heart on the building facing the water filled with boats and paddle boarders. So here are all the clues. I was guided to get my 11:11 tattoo with a four-leaf clover made of HEARTS that also relates to "good luck" back in February and here is the evidence of all that on a street leading to LOVE. Did I apply with no server experience? Yes. Did I get hired and start the next day? YES! Now, I must also mention that sometimes we may be guided somewhere temporarily to clear certain things we are not aware of that are still lingering. This place is that for me. When I left last night after completing a double shift, in 92 degrees, a place with over 50 tables and bar seating, and a broken air conditioner, I exploding in tears sitting in my car. I asked God and my guidance team why this is happening and why they are doing this to me. I cried all the way home and let my anger out on them because they are always loving. I woke up this morning to clouds and rain. I know this is my gift. When you pray or ask for change or help, it's on the way. I'm always hearing the line again from my favorite childhood movie, "Mrs. Doubtfire." "Help is on the way dear!" and it is. Often in shows or movies, the response is through a sudden storm or thunder or lightening. If you've watched another one of my favorite book turned into movie, "Eat, Pray, Love", then you know when Julia Roberts' character is at her lowest, she kneels and prays and is answered with a huge sound of thunder. Her new life begins to unfold.

So, here it is. Whether you've started from the bottom or middle, you are ready for what's next. You've been through some tough times and some great ones. The great times are the rewards of overcoming emotional blocks. You are constantly going through your own life cycle of becoming a beautiful butterfly. Each time you go through your transformation, be so proud of the person you once were, who you are becoming, and who you will be in the future. Take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself and your soul. It does get easier as you put your complete trust and faith in yourself, the world, and your entire guidance team.
